SLH: Tell us about yourself, Taiwo.
TAIWO: I’m Taiwo Olaitan, a young woman. I reside and do business in Ibadan. I am a graduate of Economics from the University of Ibadan. A Make-up Artist by passion, Corporate Event planner, Cyrptocurrency Addict, Networker and a Volunteer. Formerly an Editor for The Unity Magazine, Customer Service Officer at Ibadan Chamber of Commerce and presently a Program Associate for Association for the Advancement of Womanhood. I believe in independence and advocates for girl child involvement. Im a creative lady who sees possibilities in difficulties. Im a listener focused on sharing my experiences to help young girls who are faced with life challenges through REAL MOMENTS WITH MS E. My love for volunteering and seeing young graduates doing nothing led to VOWEN, a platform towards the outstanding performance of the girl child by getting actively involved in issues affecting the society through VOLUNTEERING.
SLH: Tell us about your business
TAIWO: The Eryns Hub is a lifestyle business with subsets in beauty line and corporate conceige. Beauty By Eryn offers makeup and gele services by making it accessible and affordable. Coree is the event planning arm of The Eryns Hub. COREE Caters for event and vendor sourcing as well as corporate needs.
SLH: Is your business registered?
TAIWO: Yes, it is.
SLH: Where is your business currently located?
TAIWO: 28, Oba Abimbola Road, Directly Opposite Old Pinnacle Plaza, Felele Layout, Ibadan
SLH: Why did you become an entrepreneur?
TAIWO: I became an entrepreneur for flexibility. I like to multi task. As much as it takes a whole lot to be an entrepreneur, It gives me chance to do as much as possible such as engaging in social causes.
SLH: What are your major success stories so far?
TAIWO: Our major success stories lies in the empowerment scheme the academy arm offers beauty enthusiasts. We have to trained about 50 people and those who passed through our internship program get to earn from job allocations COREE has successfully handled events and worked with a few event planner to source for vendors. Major challenge is working with ibadan vendors who don’t take business serious.
