I look at many business bios on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other Social media platforms and see why clients are confused. They don’t know why they should choose you over the next person who does what you do. If there’s something different about you, you are not telling them. This difference, is your USP.
What your USP is NOT.
1. We are the best (?)
2. We are the cheapest (?)
3. We have been here forever (?)
4. We are the biggest (?)
5. A trial will con(fuse)vince you (?)
So what is your USP?
Definition: The factor or consideration presented by a seller as the reason that one product or service is different from and better than that of the competition.
I will give you an example.
My figure 8 wellness hub Ibadan Nigeria, boasts of the first and only (at Least for now) gym whose focus is on the fitness and weightloss needs of moms and mom’s to be.
Looking at this, if you know a woman gave birth recently and is looking for a gym or wants to lose weight and lives in Ibadan, wouldn’t you tell her- “I know a place, go to My figure 8″?
Why? Because the offering, focus and target are clear.
