Having a business website as a small business owner in Nigeria is no longer a luxury. Granted, the initial investment and yearly renewal fees may make a woman in business skeptical, but when it is used right and properly optimized, the benefits far outweigh the Investment. And now, more than ever, small business owners in Nigeria are learning how to build and update their own business Websites during our WordPress Website training in Lagos and our WordPress Website training in Ibadan.
According to a survey by Verisign in 2015, 84% of respondents believe a small business with a website are more credible than those without. While 65% of them aslo believed that small businesses with self hosted emails (e.g firstname.lastname@example.org) are more credible than those who use Yahoo, Gmail and so on for business correspondence.
I have heard many arguments in favor of building your brand solely on social media… Hmnn
Hear what Verisign had to say about that:
You can build a brand presence for your business on social media, but you’re restricted by the platform in terms of design, process and technology. A website can help small businesses increase flexibility, control, branding and credibility. Eighty-four percent of U.S. consumers believe a business with a website is more credible than one that only has a social media page. To be credible and attract new customers, a website can make a difference.
So do you have a website for your business?
If no, why Not?
